Magnetic modulating valves
The original technical note introduces fast-acting magnetic modulating valves and their ability to control small flows with a continuous signal. It emphasises the regulation characteristics at low valve openings.
Engineering context
Valve selection still requires the correct hydraulic sizing, medium, differential pressure and signal compatibility. See our detailed technical page for the equipment family and its historical development.

Why the regulation characteristic matters
Electromagnetic actuation can be particularly useful in applications requiring responsive and precise modulating flow control. The historic product announcement highlights behaviour near the lower end of the regulation characteristic, where a poorly matched valve can struggle to provide smooth control.
Such claims must be evaluated for each product and hydraulic application: the valve's rated flow, permitted differential pressure, medium and signal requirements determine what can be achieved.
