01

Siemens HIT

A product selection and engineering tool for building technology components.

02

Reference charts

Psychrometric calculations and engineering diagrams support ventilation and HVAC design.

03

Device compatibility

When replacing equipment, verify product generations and electrical compatibility against official manufacturer documentation.

Practical tools for HVAC engineering and servicing

Product-selection tools and technical libraries can reduce manual searching, especially when matching valves, actuators, sensors and controllers from different generations. Always verify the selected configuration against the current datasheet.

Siemens HIT – product selection and documentation

The Siemens HIT environment is used for product research, selection and access to relevant product documents, depending on the current service offering. Typical engineering tasks include locating datasheets, installation instructions, declarations of conformity and possible product combinations.

For example, when selecting a three-way valve, establish the required flow, design pressure drop, fluid conditions and the actuator's signal and supply. The product database can help narrow the candidates, but it does not replace hydraulic sizing or an application review.

OLD2NEW – managing older installed equipment

Many buildings still contain control products from earlier Landis & Gyr, Staefa Control System and Landis & Staefa generations. An old-to-new lookup can help identify possible modern equivalents. Verify electrical connections, sensor characteristics, stroke, control signal, mechanical fit and software dependencies before replacement.

Useful documents

  • Current product datasheets and installation guides.
  • Replacement and compatibility notes for legacy control equipment.
  • Project-specific control schematics and I/O lists.
  • Verified HVAC charts such as the Mollier h-x diagram.

For product selection or replacements, use official manufacturer information and contact the FENIKS PRO technical team if the application is unclear.
