Siemens KNX Secure: new generation of switching actuators

Siemens is expanding its KNX range with a new generation of KNX Secure switching actuators. The devices are designed to switch lighting, socket outlets and other electrical loads in commercial, public and residential buildings.

The N 530S, N 532S, N 534S and N 535S families include 4-, 8- and 12-channel variants across different current ratings. The release highlights KNX Secure, manual operation, diagnostic functions and N 535S variants with load monitoring.

For new projects, this is a useful step toward more secure KNX installations. For existing buildings, compatibility with current controllers and older Desigo generations needs to be checked, as not every function is directly interchangeable.
