Siemens IRA211: infrared remote control phased out

Siemens has announced the gradual phase-out of the IRA211 (S55770-T166) infrared remote control. The phase-out period began on 25 September 2026, and the product remains available only while stocks last. No direct successor is listed.

IRA211 is used with selected room thermostats, including RDF600T, RDF660T and RDG160TU. For facility operators, this is a useful moment to review the installed base, check remaining availability and plan replacements where infrared operation is still required.

An upgrade should consider the complete room control solution – thermostat, fan and valve control, and user needs – rather than assuming a stand-alone accessory can always be replaced directly.
