New Siemens RDK101 and RDK101RF.ST: simple heating control with NFC

Siemens is expanding its room thermostat range with RDK101 (S55770-T530) and RDK101RF.ST (S55770-T532). The wired and wireless models are designed primarily for heating systems with boilers, heat pumps and zone valves.

Highlights include a clear e-paper display and smartphone configuration via NFC using the Siemens Quick Config app. Devices can be prepared even before installation, including while unpowered. Both two-position and TPI control are supported.

For refurbishment projects and smaller heating systems, these features help simplify installation and everyday use. The wireless set is especially useful where new cabling would be disruptive. NFC commissioning requires a compatible version of Quick Config.
